Garo Yepremian didn't know football. The first game he ever saw, he played in–as a placekicker for the Detroit Lions during the Detroit Lions vs. Baltimore Colts game in 1966. Was he scared? You bet! Was he nervous? And how! Did he even know how to put on his uniform? Not a chance! And yet, he overcame these and many other obstacles to go on to become the Pro Football Hall of Fame's choice as the kicker of the decade from1970-1980.

He was on his way, and went on to a fifteen-year career with the NFL, playing for the Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. From 1966 through 1981 he missed only one season, 1969, when he proudly volunteered to serve in the U.S. Army.

Garo Yepremian is recognized as one of the foremost motivational speakers of our time as he combines his own brand of down-to-earth humor and wit with his ability to help his audiences realize their own talents and abilities, and most of all, their potential in life. He evokes a charm and enthusiasm that is heartfelt and genuine. He has the power to captivate his audiences and make them laugh, think, become motivated, and last but not least, share his pride in our country.
